Happy New year!

Happy New Year Faubion Families! I hope the winter break gave you time to bond and grow with your students. We’ve already accomplished so much in 2018! We started the new year with reflection and goal setting for the rest of the year, and have been honing all of our math skills like crazy! 7th grade math is gearing up with some pre-algebra skills, such as combining like terms and distribution. We’ll soon be focusing on solving linear equations. 8th graders are exploring irrational numbers and will soon be applying it to right triangles and discovering the Pythagorean theorem. Our elective has finished up building catapults, putting the final touches on designing our very own vinyl stickers, and getting pretty talented at coding. The end of the quarter is fast approaching and I’ve been reminding students to be sure to check their grades and get in any make up work! Also, start looking for weekly homework assignments again starting next week! I’m looking forward to so much more growth as 2018 progresses. Please feel free to contact to me at any time!
