April Showers Bring May Flowers!

We're almost to those May flowers! Time keeps flying here at Faubion. I can't believe it's already spring! We've got some exciting things happening here in the math classroom. The 8th graders have just begun a project with volunteers from local businesses where they will create a model of an improvement they'd like to see in the Tubman building. They'll use the skills they've learned in class to build the model, and will present their proposals to a panel of experts in the STEM careers. The winning proposal will then be submitted to PPS for a potential for their design to come to fruition! The 7th graders are nearing the end of their geometry unit. They are also looking forward to an upcoming field trip to a maker's space for some hands on learning.

We recently had the opportunity to attend a team building ropes course at Camp Collins (Thank you PTA and Mrs. Kerrissey!!!). Students had an amazing time bonding with new friends, learning about themselves and pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones.
