March

Hello Faubion Families! It's hard to believe it is already March. Time sure is flying! It has been such a blessing to see how far your students have progressed throughout the year. Each day I see deeper thinking and broader connections being made. These middle-schoolers sure are growing up before our eyes! In the math classroom, the 8th graders are finishing up a unit on the Pythagorean theorem. Students really seem to be enjoying it and it is inspiring to see that every single 8th grader has mastered this topic! 7th graders are finishing up their unit on linear equation and will be moving more toward geometry. Be sure to ask your 7th grader about their walking rates and how that relates to what we're learning! Math in Real Life has been creating some very fun model tiny homes, and we're also learning about fractals in nature.

Each of your students has new things in their notebooks they should be reviewing each night to keep their memories fresh. We've also gotten our hands on some tablets for the classroom, so each shouldn't will be working on online modules to further their grasp on math concepts (hurray!). These modules are also available online at home if you and your student are interested in extra practice at home. Please contact me with any questions or stories... I love hearing from you! Have a beautiful March!
