Hello Faubion Families! Here's to hoping we are past the inclement weather and can get back into a solid schedule! There has been lots of exciting things happening here at Faubion! We recently were able to participate in a field trip to the Moda Center that focused on financial literacy and planning for the future. Students were able to hear Hill Harper and Brian Grant speak about the importance of saving. Ask your student to see their blueprint: their plans for their future. Families also have the opportunity for free Blazer's tickets on March 9! Ask your students for the form. It should be a blast!

In Math 7, students learning all about linear equations. We're focusing on solving for a variable, creating equivalent expressions and growth rates. Math 8 is starting a unit on exponents and the Pythagorean theorem. Be sure to ask them about their fun project in our maker's space! Math in Real Life is beginning a project where each student will create their own scale model of a tiny home. Please continue to encourage students to complete their weekly homework practice, five minute notebook review, and planner checks. Faubion's third annual auction is February 25th.
