Hello Faubion Families!

Greeting from the math classroom! We been having a great beginning of November this year. Student's are really beginning to take ownership of of their learning and its evident in their work! Math 7 and Compacted Year 1 are finishing up a difficult unit on integers. They will be taking the growth they've made and applying it as they begin their pre-algebra units! Compacted Year 2 is still deep in their learning of linear equations and will begin studying points of intersections. Please continue to encourage your student to review their notebooks for at least 5 minutes each day, as well complete their weekly homework practice assignment. The extra mathematical thought really does help!

Recently, the middle school was able to travel to Jefferson High School to interact with medical students from OHSU and high school students in a STEAM activity where they invented a new surgery tool. It was awesome to see your students experiencing the high school setting and students, and even talk to some soon-to-be doctors. Check out a few pictures from the trip below:
